A misanthropic gay dwarf and a plucky sex worker go on a road trip to Canada in search of aliens, but what sounds like a wacky premise is actually a heartfelt story about finding your people.

Winona has to get to Canada in order to meet the aliens that made contact with her when she was fifteen. Her neighbour Peter is unemployed and reeling from grief after the death of his best friend. As fate would have it, he’s got bills to pay, and she can pay them in exchange for borrowing his car. Not willing to let his car go without him, the two set off on a journey that will forever change them and how they see the world.
