Book publisher Nicky and his husband, stay-at-home dad Gabriel, work hard to support their eight-year-old son, Owen. Despite appearances, Gabriel has been dissatisfied with their marriage for some time and approaches Nicky with the desire to separate. As the two loving fathers navigate divorce, a custody battle ensues that forces them to confront the changing reality of their love for each other and for their son.
