In-person screenings will take place at the Ottawa Art Gallery (50 Mackenzie King Bridge) from October 6th – 8th, 2023. Tickets, memberships and packages can be purchased online at insideout.ca/ottawafestival/schedule. During the festival, tickets will continue to be available online, as well as at the Inside Out Festival Box Office at the Ottawa Art Gallery. The Festival Box Office will be open 45 minutes before the first screening of the day.

To purchase single tickets to digital screenings, visit our box office anytime at insideout.ca/ottawafestival. Please note, you must be in Ontario to view digital screenings. All single tickets for digital screenings are valid for 48 hours after you press ‘Play’. Access to digital screenings will begin at 12pm on the day after their in-person premiere and, regardless of when ‘Play’ is pressed, will end at 11:59PM on Oct 15th.

If it is an in-person screening, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket attached. Unfortunately, due to reserved seating, there will not be Rush ticketing at this year’s festival.

The Ottawa Art Gallery is fully accessible and welcomes service animals and guide dogs. All films screening will be accompanied with open captions or English subtitles (all languages will be subtitled, including English). All festival films screened via Cinesend will have the option to enable captions. How do I get tickets for in-person and digital screenings?

Do Inside Out members receive member pricing?

Ottawa Supporter members receive an All-Access Package to be redeemed, access to our digital platform, and save 15% off additional tickets for friends and family. Inside Out Toronto members receive their member discount on Ottawa screenings. For more information about Inside Out membership, visit insideout.ca/memberships

Can I share my All Access Package with friends and family?

No. Packages are tied to the purchaser’s account and cannot be shared.

Packages only allow for one stream per film, per household. Digital tickets may be purchased for other people, but the voucher code cannot be used more than once.

Can I refund or exchange my tickets?

Refunds and exchanges are not available. All sales are final, so please ensure your order is correct before completing your transaction.

I have not received my ticket voucher or confirmation email. What should I do?

Ticket vouchers and confirmation emails are sent automatically when an order has been made. If you do not receive an email within a few minutes of your purchase, please check your junk or spam folders. If you need any assistance beyond this, please contact boxoffice@insideout.ca.

Can I stream digital screenings if I am outside Ontario?

All digital screenings are geo-blocked to Ontario. You must be within the province  to stream our digital programming.

Will there be rush tickets available for sold out screenings?

Unfortunately, due to reserved seating, there will not be rush ticketing at this year’s festival.

Canceling a screening policy

In the event that a screening is canceled by Inside Out, refunds will be provided through the original method of payment.

I’ve tested positive for Covid-19, what do I do?

What if I didn’t receive a link for the watch portal?
All festival digital content is available at watch.insideout.ca

How long do I have to watch the films?
Once you press “play” on a film, you have 48 hours to complete your viewing.

The All Access Pass allows for one viewing of all films on the platform, for one household. Access to all digital screenings, regardless of when ‘Play’ is pressed, will end at 11:59pm on June 4.

Do I need to download an app to watch?
No, you do not need to download and install an app to watch. Inside Out does offer an Apple TV or Roku app, but it is not required.

Can I stream on Roku?
Yes, please search ‘Inside Out’ and add to channel to stream from your Roku app.

Can I stream on AppleTV?
Yes, please search ‘Inside Out’ and add to channel to stream from your AppleTV app.

You can AirPlay from most browsers if you have Apple TV by selecting the cast button on the bottom right-hand side of the player.

What are the system requirements?
You can watch content on PCs running Windows 7+, and Intel-based Macs running OSX 10.12+. You can also watch films on Android tablets and phones using Chrome, and on iPhones and iPads using Safari.

What are the requirements for Windows computers?
Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10

Supported browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser. Internet Explorer is not supported.

What are the requirements for Mac computers?
Mac OSX 10.12 or later

Supported browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser.

Can I watch content on my iPhone/iPad?
Yes, you can watch content using Safari on iOS 11.2 or later. Please note that you must have “Screen Mirroring” turned off for content to play.

Can I watch content on my Android Device?
Yes, you can watch content using Chrome on Android 6.0 or later.

Can I Chromecast content?
You can Chromecast from a Chrome web browser on PC and Mac computers by selecting the cast button in the bottom right-hand side of the player.

What happens if I forget my password?

Use the password reset option on the login page to reset your password. You will need access to the e-mail address you use to log in.

Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?
We use adaptive bitrate streaming, which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed. If your internet connection is weak or inconsistent, you may experience problems during playback. If you’re on wifi, try moving closer to your router.
