Runner-up for this year's People's Choice Award at TIFF, Call Me By Your Name is poised to be a contender in this year's Best Picture Oscar race.

 

Chile has already selected A Fantastic Woman as their submission for the Best Foreign-Language Film for the Oscars, after winning the Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at this year's Berlinale. Star Daniela Vega is generating buzz for potentially being the first transgender actress to be nominated for a Best Actress Oscar.
