About Cockpit:

This program has 1 films.

Following in the high-heeled footsteps of dragtastic cinema classics that include Some Like It Hot and Mrs. Doubtfire, Cockpit is a comedic romp with a subtle message of equality at its core.

When he loses his job, pilot Valle Andersson's picture-perfect life falls to pieces - his wife leaves him, he is forced to move in with his lesbian sister (whose house is so chaotic Valle's ex-wife won't allow their son to visit), and the only airline hiring wants a female pilot.

But desperate times call for desperate measures. Before you can say Tootsie, Valle is reinventing himself as Maria. And where Valle failed, Maria succeeds. The job is going well and everyone, including a pretty fellow-pilot named Cecilia, seems to love Maria. Then, a miraculously casualty-free plane crash thrusts Maria/Valle into the spotlight.

Will Valle remember what happened during the crash? Can he keep his secrets? And does Cecilia really mean it when she says she falls in love with the person and not the gender? The answers are revealed, and an old genre gets a queer twist in this gender-bending romp from Sweden. Learn More »
