Gasolina
Gerardo, Raymundo and Nano are typical teenaged boys living in Guatemala City. They talk about sports and girls, plan pranks and schemes, and drive around aimlessly. When they steal gasoline to fuel their joyride about town, the troubled and troublesome trio seem to have crossed every person they´ve ever met-including their own families-and encounter obstacles and foes around every corner. The boys are as content to cruise as they are to reach a destination.On the surface, the boys appear to be an average group of young best friends, but a closer look at their relationship reveals a co-dependency fraught with heartache, jealousy and an ever-intensifying lack of innocence. Constantly challenging and provoking one another, the boys slowly prove their friendship to be a brutal force, one that could usher them into a life of transgression.
Unfolding over the course of a single night, filmmaker Julio Hernández Cordón´s award-winning feature debut chronicles the self-destructive ´bromance´ among three young men as they blast from adolescence into unforgiving adulthood.
